Hi
there! My name is Brianna Ditzenberger and I was
honored to have served as the 2012 Green County
Cheese Days ambassador. In my role as ambassador,
I had the pleasure of representing and promoting
a festival that is near and dear to many people
in the Green County community, across the nation,
and overseas.
After being crowned in November of 2011, I was
on the road promoting the festival. Throughout
the summer I attended over 30 events including
presenting at local companies and organizations,
highlighting the festival at a summer concert
on the Square and interacting with many people
as I rode in numerous parades and attended events
like the Wisconsin State Fair Cheese and Butter
Auction – also where I had my first taste
of Green County’s award-winning Limburger
cheese.
During my reign, I worked with local and regional
media. I had the opportunity to take part in a
radio interviews with personalities from around
Wisconsin and Illinois – including Orion
Samuelson, which I have to admit was a dream come
true for an agriculture enthusiast like myself!
I also kept up the excitement for Cheese Days
2012 through social media. I helped manage and
post items of interest to Facebook and Twitter;
and new this year, I started a blog inviting readers
to follow me on my travels and learn some fun
and interesting facts about the festival, cheese
making, and Green County along the way.
If you’re interested in public relations,
communications, or marketing, I encourage you
to also ‘follow the cheesy brick road’
and apply to serve as the 2014 Cheese Days Ambassador!
It’s a wonderful honor and a great experience
where you meet interesting and amazing people
along the way - while promoting a festival like
none other.
Follow the cheesy brick road,
Brianna
